Have you ever?
Have you ever done something that you normaly do not do and get something totaly unexpected responce. I mean like the other day Thursday after a midterm exam, a girl was talking to me about the exam and then out of seemingly nowhere she asked if she could borrow $5 for lunch. If you know me I am not one to give money out to a stranger, heck I am a broke college guy myself, but for some strange reason I gave the girl $5, thinking nothing of it (seriously I was not being nice to some gorgous girl just because, she is a mid/late 20s lady actually). She said thank you, and we both went seperate ways. Then I saw the girl in the same class that we had the test in together and didnt even think about the $5 the next day, friday. I figgured that my $5 was gone and I was none the worst for it actually. Monday rolls arround and she is in the class like "normal", again nothing, just the cordial hello, which I thought was well "normal". This is where the story becomes memorable, today, Tuesday of all days a frigging run of the mill Tuesday. I am riding my bike to class, because the weather is great and this SUV (BMW X5, to be precise) honks at me while driving by as I was on a sidewalk. The X5, that I have never seen, pulls into a driveway a little ways in front of me and rolls down its window. It was her, and she handed me a folded bill, with a 5 showing and just said thanks, then drove away promptly. Sitting on my bike I look at the bill and to my surprise it was a $50 bill. On my way to class minutes later, I see her parked in one of the parking lots near the building to which I was going. I of coarse had to go tell her that I couldnt keep her $50 (even though I knew she had money based on her SUV), because I didnt feel right about takeing that much money from her. Now I see her get a look of anger in her face and she said something to to the tone of, "oh you think you are too good for my money!" Not knowing what to say, I just said "no...not at all...I appreciate your kindness but I really cant accept that much money from you." She then took back the $50 and rolled her window up in a snap. So here I am now wondering what her malfunction was, or if I was in the wrong for not accepting a ten fold return on my loan.........anyways, what do you think?
